Terms of use

GIFS.APPMAXX is a small, free GIF hosting service. By uploading or browsing you accept the terms below. They are deliberately short.

What you may upload

You may upload content only if you have the right to do so. Do not upload:

• content that is illegal in the Czech Republic or the European Union
• sexual content involving minors, or any material depicting the abuse of a person or animal
• content you do not hold the rights to, or that infringes a trademark
• malware, or files crafted to attack the service or its visitors
• spam, or automated bulk uploads

Anonymous uploads

Uploading without an account is supported. When you do, your browser stores a private claim token so the upload can be attached to an account later. If you clear your browser storage that link is lost, and the upload cannot be recovered by us.

Moderation

Anything uploaded here may be removed at any time, with or without notice, if it breaks these terms. Reported content is reviewed and may be hidden while under review. Repeated abuse leads to a block.

Availability

This is a hobby project running on modest hardware. There is no uptime guarantee, no backup guarantee and no support commitment. Keep your own copy of anything you care about.

The API

The public API is free to use within its published rate limits. Do not use it to build a mirror of the entire library, and do not attempt to circumvent the limits. Access can be withdrawn from any key.

Liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use or unavailability.
